- If the patient takes any medication, they must bring the formula or these written down on a piece of paper.
- Women: inform if you are pregnant or have any suspicions.
- The patient must be older than five (5) years.
- If the patient has received treatments with iodinated contrast media, they must wait five (5) days to be able to perform the Densitometry. Exams such as scintigraphy or those in which barium contrast medium is used are taken into account.
- If the patient is in a wheelchair or has a disability, they must come with a responsible adult companion.
- Come with two-piece clothing without metal parts such as zippers, studs, buttons. It is suggested to wear sportswear.
- Be half an hour (30 minutes) before the procedure for administrative procedures.
- Suspend medications containing: Calcium gluconate 24 hours before the exam: Biobone, Calciforte, Catedral, Calmin – diet, Caltrate, Megacal, Osteocal, Calcitran, omega 3, Ibandronate, Risedronate, strontium ranelate, Osteocalcium, Vical.
- Identification document.
- Current order (does not apply to individuals).
- Result of the last densitometry performed (if this test has been performed).
- If you have the lumbar spine X-ray, bring it on the day of the procedure (It must be from the last year and only the reading).
