• The patient must inform at the time of assigning the appointment if they have brackets, splints, stents, external tutors, valves, pacemakers, splinters or other metallic elements.
  • Patients with braces must come in for a five (5) minute test to determine if they can be tested. Note: only for studies of the skull, face, TMJ and cervical spine.
  • Investigate in simple and contrasted studies under sedation, if the patient is allergic to materials with latex.
  • Women: inform if you are pregnant or have any suspicions.
  • Come with fingernails and toenails without makeup.
  • The patient should not have a fever, cough or flu on the day of the exam.
  • Do not smoke the day before the procedure.
  • The patient must come with a relative of legal age on the day of the exam.
  • If the patient is a minor, they must be accompanied by an older relative.
  • If the hospitalized patient must bring a canalized vein and come with an adult relative.
  • If the MRI is contrasted, you must take into account: inform if you have a history of allergies or known reactions to contrast media, diabetes and kidney failure.
  • The patient and his companion should not bring metallic objects (chains, rings, earrings, etc.).
  • Only for Brain and Face MRIs, you must have clean hair (free of gels and hair gel) and face without makeup (eyeliner, powder, etc.).
  • Be one (1) hour before the procedure for administrative procedures.
  • Fasting for eight (8) hours for any food, the patient can take four (4) hours before the exam to drink a cup of panela water or tea WITHOUT MILK.
  • Do not suspend control medications, they should be taken only with three (3) sips of water.
  • If the patient is a child, bring him juice in water or jelly for after the study.
  • Identification document.
  • Current order (does not apply to individuals).
  • Complete Clinical History with data justifying the study.
  • Resonances, Tomographies, Ultrasounds and previous studies.
  • Blood creatinine test not   exceeding thirty days (30 days). In case the study is with contrast medium.
